Media Tek Driver : download

CWM Recovery 6.0.3.0 :download

Scatter File: download

How to install CWM recovery on  Lava Iris 501 

Step  1.   Make sure that mobile is Switch Off and not connected with PC

Step   2.   Create a separate folder in PC; for example “Recovery”

Step   3.   Copy Scatter File and CWM Recovery in this folder

Step   4.   Rename recovery_cwm_6.0.1.5_iris.img file to recovery.img

Step   5.   Start SP Flash Tools

Step   6.   Click on Scatter Loading button>Browse to “Recovery” Folder and select Scatter File

Step   7.   Now you will find that only Recovery file is checked in SP Tools

Step   8.   Click Download button

Step   9.   It will give you warning, Not ALL images are correctly loaded, which may cause boot
up issue! Do you still want to go on downloading anyway?

Step   10. Click on Yes

Step   11. Remove mobile battery and re-insert after 3-4 seconds (Do-not Switch ON Mob)

Step   12. Connect mobile to PC with USB Cable

Step   13. Flashing will start and it will be done in few seconds

Step   14. Disconnect USB cable and Power On Mobile.

Now you can use CWM Recovery to use a lot of features from there. And to get the full functionality you have to root your phone after you were installed it. To enter CWM Recovery hold Power button, Home button and Volume up button simultaneously or you can do this by launch it from your ROM Manager app or CWM icon.     i m unable to root my device i have gone through your post but still unable to do..even i tried srs rooting software..

    can u help me..i think i m missing some steps..please provide me video tutor if possible…
