How to Text Your Contacts Directly from Facebook Messenger App for Android Device

Facebook introduced a new design for Facebook Messenger for Android last month, added a few new things including the ability for some phones to text contacts directly from the Facebook Messenger app.

To bring text messages into the Chat Heads feature, you’ll need to enable Facebook Messenger as your text messaging app. To do this, launch the Messenger app, visit the settings screen, and select SMS/MMS from the list of options. Check both boxes on the SMS/MMS screen and your text messages will start funneling into the Messenger app.

You can chat with multiple people at the same time. Furthermore, you do not even need to log in to the Facebook website, rather just sign in to the mobile phone app. And with this feature users will get text functionality and Facebook messages under the same hood.

It’s a good idea to go back into the default Messaging app and disable notifications to prevent duplicate notifications when you receive text messages. You can do that by launching the Messaging app, visiting the settings page, and unchecking the box next to “Notifications.”

This text message from Facebook Messenger will charge standard prices. Facebook will not charge extra money from you.

So this is all about Facebook new text message feature of Facebook Messenger, I hope my tutorial really helps you. Also don’t forget to share with me whether you really like this feature or not?
