A very good news for Galaxy Gio S5660 users as Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean custom ROM is now available for Galaxy Gio. we now have CM10 Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. CM10 can now be installed on the Galaxy Gio S5660 with the help of ClockworkMod recovery.
Follow the steps written ahead to install Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean on Samsung Galaxy Gio via Cyanogenmod 10.1.

Mobile must be charged at least up to 70% so that installation process will not get interrupted due to low battery.
Your all mobile data gets wiped during flashing of ROM so don’t forget to take a backup of important personal data like SMS, MMS, APN, contacts etc. to the external memory.
In order to flash custom ROM on your mobile, install custom recovery like Clockworkmod recovery or TWRP recovery on your mobile.
How to Update Galaxy Gio S5660 to Android 4.2.2 Custom Firmware
Step 1: Download the zip file from here. The file name will be cm10_ace-ota-eng.maclaw.zip, Transfer this file to root of the phone’s SD card.
Step 2: Now, shut down the phone and restart in CMW recovery. To boot into CWM recovery press the Volume up+ Home button + power button together for few seconds.
Step 3: In recovery mode select “Wipe cache/factory reset” to reset the phone to factory settings. If you are already using the CM9 ICS ROM from Maclaw on your phone then you can avoid this step.
Step 4: Now, select “Install zip from SD card” >> “Choose zip from SD card”. Select the file named cm10_ace-ota-eng.maclaw.zip and confirm to install the ROM. It will take few minutes for the ROM to install.
Step 5: Once installed, select “Go Back” and then “reboot the system”. This will restart the system in normal bootloader mode and you will be able to see the new bootscreen and Jelly Bean welcome screen.
On the first boot it takes few minutes to setup everything. If you get stuck on boot screen for more than 5 minutes then take out the battery. Now, restart into CWM recovery and factory reset the device. This will solve the issue.
That’s it! Your Galaxy Gio now has CM10 Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean installed on the phone. Go to Settings >About phone to verify.
