We all love a dedicated camera key on a smartphone, but unfortunately HTC One doesn’t feature a physical camera button. Matt from the XDA developers has created a clever mode that lets you use the volume down button on your handset as a camera button.
Once the software is installed you will be able to use the volume down key as your dedicated camera button for taking photos and also for triggering the fast capture mode. In addition, you will be able to zoom in and out using the volume up and down keys.
Before You Begin:
1. The following procedure works for HTC ONE.
2. Make sure your device have at least 80% battery power.
3. You must have CWM Recovery installed on your device.
4. Make sure USB Debugging is enabled

How to Use the Volume Buttons to Control Camera on Your HTC One
Step 1. Download and place the files to your phone.
Step 2. Reboot device into CWM or TWRP recovery .
Step 3. Do not forget to backup your current ROM before flashing anything on your phone. Use the “backup and restore” option.
Step 4.Scroll to “wipe cache partition” and wipe it.

Step 5.Go to “install zip from sdcard> choose zip from sdcard” and select the file you want to install.
Step 6.When the installation is done, go to “advanced” and “wipe dalvik cache”.
Step 7.Finally reboot device using “reboot system now” option.
When the phone boots, open the app drawer on your phone and you should see the newly installed apps there.
