HP Plans to Launch Low Cost Android Smartphones Next week

HP planning to launch new low cost smartphones next week.  According to recent reports by The Information, the company will launch 6- and 7-inch phablets sometime next week which are aimed at emerging markets.

These Smartphones will be aimed at emerging markets including India, China, and the Philippines. The price of these Smartphones will be in-between $200 and $250. we’re told, and will run Android. Given the low price, I wouldn’t expect any serious hardware under the hood and as such, they may ultimately never find their way to the US or other competitive markets.

The device is expected to powered by a quad-core Marvell chipset, running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Operating System and with low density displays.
